Seperti kebiasaan sebelumnya yaitu setelah pagelaran Golden Globe usai tahun lalu barulah acara puncak akan segera tiba.

The Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) selaku penyelenggaran disetiap tahunnya ajang Academy Awards atau Piala Oscar telah mengumumkan nominasi-nominasi penyandang oscar pada Selasa (22/1) malam waktu Indonesia.

Dan lagi-lagi seperti saat Golden Globe Award, The Academy Award ke-91 ini
Pembacaan nominasinya disebutkan di  Beverly Hills, California, tepatnya Samuel Goldwyn Theatre, dan dibacakan oleh aktor Kumail Nanjiani, dan Tracee Ellis Ross.

Untuk mereka yang tengah menjagokan film, aktor dan aktrisnya secara umum pembacaan nominasi tidak terlalu mengejutkan mereka begitupun saat di theater semua hanya tepuk tangan selamat saja.
